GIST Scaffolder

This programme is aimed at GIST Improver card holders who have completed more than 12 months onsite experience and are looking to further develop their scaffolding skills and knowledge.

Objectives

This programme will provide the candidate with the knowledge and skills necessary for them to erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding structures to internationally recognised standards.

Progression

The GIST Scaffolder card will be valid for 3 years. Cards are renewable upon successful completion of the 1-day Scaffolder refresher programme.

Candidates holding the Scaffolder Card must complete more than 2 Years onsite experience before progressing to Advanced Scaffolder training and assessment.

• Intermediate skills assessment

• Ramps
• Gantry
• Lifting Frame
• Loading Bay
• Skills Test
• Knowledge/Behaviours Test (80% to pass)
• All elements must be completed satisfactorily for the candidate to pass the course.
