GIST Advanced Scaffold Inspection

Attendees

This programme is aimed at those who are required to carry out statutory inspections to complex designed access and special working structures. Candidates must have completed no less than 2 years onsite experience as GIST Scaffold Inspector or GIST Scaffolder.

Objectives

This programme will provide the candidate with the knowledge and skills to inspect complex designed access and special working structures and complete inspection reports to internationally recognised standards.

Progression

The GIST Advanced Scaffold Inspection card will be valid for 3 years. Cards are renewable upon completion of the 2-day Advanced Scaffolder Inspection refresher programme.

• International Standards (BS/EN, local) for materials
• Materials and component identification and selection used in complex structures
• International best practice for safe erection and dismantling of scaffolding
• Manufacturers Instruction manual/user guide (Systems)
• Tube and Fitting v Systems scaffolding
• Understanding complex Scaffold designs/drawings
• How to complete a complex Scaffold Inspection
• How to complete a complex Scaffold Inspection report
• Initial complex Scaffold Inspection
